Before the coffee reaches a roastery in Vancouver or a caf\u00e9 in Brussels, it passes through the hands of women who have spent their lives learning how to read a coffee plant.<\/span><\/p>\n They know which cherry is ready. They know which one needs one more day. That knowledge is not in any manual. These women pick, process, and dry the coffee by hand, the same way it has always been done in these mountains. We don’t just buy their coffee. They see the plant before they see a classroom. We want to make sure they get both.<\/span><\/p>\n Through Seeds for a Better World, our nonprofit registered in Luxembourg, we support the education of children in the communities where our coffee is grown.
